About Us

Reimagining Biology in Mining

We’re harnessing billions of years of microbial evolution to unlock copper trapped in low-grade ores. Our approach combines cutting-edge science with practical mining solutions to deliver more metal, faster with less environmental impact.

Origins

From Lab to Industry

Transition Metal Solutions was founded on a breakthrough insight: the key to more sustainable mining already exists within the ore itself. Drawing from our experience profiling high-performing copper heap microbiomes, we’re applying the latest insights from human health, environmental metagenomics, biogeochemistry, and cloud computing to enhance these natural processes without disrupting existing flowsheets.

Our Team

Having faced the challenges of scaling technology firsthand, our team understands what works beyond the bench. We bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical mining constraints, developing solutions that work within the existing systems rather than attempting to replace them.
